Elise van Staveren

Elise van Staveren (b. 2000, the Netherlands) creates a painting-based practice driven by fleeting observations, using oil paint and sterling silver. Drawing from everyday surroundings, her works suggest narratives without fully revealing them, exploring tensions between familiarity and unease, permanence and change.

Elise holds a Master of Fine Art from the Frank Mohr Institute (2021–2023) and a Bachelor of Fine Art with honors from HKU, Utrecht (2017–2021). Her works are included in the collection of the Centraal Museum Utrecht, het LAM and several private collections.

Helene Appel

Helene Appel (b. 1976, Karlsruhe) paints life-sized everyday objects, like twigs, soapy water, or fennel on raw linen, letting their scale and details dictate her formats and techniques. Her unrelenting realism captures their unvarnished essence without trompe-l’œil tricks or deeper interpretations, inviting viewers to explore the profound beauty in ordinary reality: “What you see is what you get… but look closer.”

A graduate of Hamburg’s School of Art and London’s Royal College of Art, her work appears in collections like the National Museum of Contemporary Art in Greece, La Gaia in Italy and the Olbricht Collection in Germany. Her work has been shown at venues including Museo Marino Marini (Florence) and Hamburger Kunsthalle.

Romina Koopman

Romina Koopman (b. 1996) is intrigued by how digital images can change our perception of reality. Her work reflects on how the photographic medium, within the digital era, creates a new ever-evolving truth. She approaches photography as a shape-shifting medium, rejecting the image as a flat surface; a view expressed in the materialization of her work: digital and analogue.

In 2024 Romina completed a masters at Sandberg Instituut. in 2022 she was part of the Best of Graduates of the Ron Mandos Young Blood Foundation after a bachelor at Rietveld Academy, she also won the  Steenbergen Stipendium that year. Her work is included in the UMC collection, Nederlands Fotomuseum and several private collections.
