What does it mean to ‘curate’ today?
Curator talk with: Imara Limon, Thom Oosterhof Nadeche Remst and Elise van Staveren
Gallery van Fanny Freytag and Culture Sniffers invite you to a curator talk in the gallery on November 21 from 17:00 until 19:00.
What does it mean to curate today? During this curator talk, three professionals from different disciplines and an artist come together to explore this question.
The discussion brings together Imara Limon, Chief Curator at the Amsterdam Museum; independent curator Thom Oosterhof; Nadeche Remst, Managing Editor of Metropolis M; and artist Elise van Staveren. Drawing on their diverse perspectives, they will explore the meaning of curating within and beyond institutional contexts, as well as the relationship between artistic practice, presentation, writing and public engagement.
The conversation will be moderated by Catriona Reid, founder of Culture Sniffers. Visitors are warmly invited to join the discussion and reflect on the role and significance of curating in the contemporary art world.
